attacks on Mosques and Muslim individuals just prove to the terrorists that they are right. That we are racist people who deserve to die. This hatred born of fear is senseless and illogical. ISIS is representative of Islam as much as the KKK is representative of Christianity. We are just, free and humane people. We must continue to be so. Or they win and we might as well lay down and let them kill us.

Will we remember them?

Another Remembrance day. What some forget is that if it wasn't for the sacrifices of our vetrans we simply would not have the country we do. We would not have public education and funded health care. We would not have the freedom of speech. No freedom to practise our religion. We would be living under the regime of a foriegn dictator who rule every move we made. Control us in every thing we do. That's a fact. But so many either can't relate or don't believe it. Their sacrifice is what has literally given us our freedom. So I am going local with this post. I live in an area which started out 20 years ago as a nice neighborhood where working class families lived. We aren't wealthy at all but we work for a living and own our homes. Since the economy in my town dumped due to two GM plants moving to Mexico. Lets face it, that's what happened. Criminal behavior has jumped the scales. That's what happens when people are poor. Drug dealers and pimps prey on people who are depressed both financially and socially. The result is I have crackwhores and drug deals right outside my door. The trouble is if you don't raise a fuss about it publicly the Police ignore the issue. So I raised a fuss. I got one answer. There was a sweep. They caught 15 people. Most were released the same day pending their court cases. You can bet they were out peddling the same day but that is the beside the point. 15 people? I have seen that many johns in the area in 15 minutes! It's nothing. They post an announcement to prove they have done something but it is as though the job is finished now. What we need is a constant police presence in the area. To make it less desirable to criminals! It's completely unfair that hard working citizens feel unsafe in their own homes.

Canadian election

I am thankful the Liberals won but nervous also. I know I voted strategically and not conscientiously as most likely did. The effort was made to get Harper out. Unfortunately too late for the international trade deal signing. That's a mess. Great for countries like China. Bad for us. We will be progressing the economic stability for countries with poor environmental and ethical practises. Fantastic! My hope is that it is not to late to recant. I fear it is. I do hope that Justin Trudeau will put an end to the practise of making laws and decisions behind closed doors. That is not how are system of government was designed! It's going to be a nail biting next 12 months to be sure.
